Very interesting! That first picture appears to have the BEVo in wear...like these that we have been wondering about. What do you think Bill? Look at the matching swas color, the head shape, 6-feathers, and the little V gap looking construction at the top of the wreath.

            Dave,

Yes indeed, first photo is of the machine woven eagle circa 1944. The eagle is much lighter than the green piping so clearly a gray eagle. Second the infamous three feather "bauhaus" eagle in green on black. Never seen a loose one, but we have 5 or 6 photos about showing them in use.

Here is a relative of the second eagle, unfortunately on gray not black!

A very interesting topic. The different positioning of the collar litzen and their methods of application is noteworthy in the photos posted by Leroy.

Excellent photos and very nice to see a period photo of the grey on black Bevo style sleeve eagle in wear on the black Pol Panzer wrapper.

I was also thinking/wondering if they might be Heer related?

He could also have transferred in from the SS-Polizei Regiment. It is hard to tell colors in the photographs. A neat photo though!
