    armband information help requested

This morning I picked up a number of items from a 45th Infantry Division Veterans estate including some armbands.
I will be selling the armbands shown in the picture but was unable to find any information or price indications on the web.
It would be great if you guys can help me establish some fair market prices on these items.
    Thanks in advance,
    Tino

    Armbands

    Tino,
Nice originals. I've seen the Verkehrs-Aufsicht armbands go for $40-$70 (BeVo usually brings the higher price). The printed Ordnungsmann armbands should also fetch around $50. The Org. Todt armband is actually not worn separately, but the upper portion of an Org. Todt armband (the lower portion being the standard red NSDAP armband). Price for it is difficult for me to estimate because I would not purchase this separately. Good luck with your sale. Chris

Well they all sold in a matter of hours.

I tried to do some research on the ordnungsmann armband but was unable to find anything relating to the armband, for some reason when I googled the name "ordnungsmann" some concentration camp guard information/stories came up.
Were these armbands related to concentration camp/ ghetto policemen/guards?
What type of organisation and or people wore these type of armbands?
Any pictures of any of these armbands in use?

I am really surprised about the lack of information available about these armbands on the web.

          Thanks,
          Tino

I would also be interested in learning more about the Ordnungsmann armband. I used to collect armbands and realized that one could specialize exclusively in WWII German armbands and perhaps never see an example of every one that was produced. The myriad of armbands made for organizations like the Lutschutz, civil organizations, and Wehrmacht auxiliaries makes for a somewhat confusing field. The armbands in this thread are the only "Ordnungsmann" armbands I have ever seen and I would imagine they are not common to find, though perhaps also not very sought-after.

What I have found indicates that the title of Ordnungsmann was sort of a generic title for a security guard that was used not only for ghetto police during the Holocaust, but also widely used for volunteer firemen before WWII, and for people performing a whole host of duties. The possibility that this could have been intended for wear by ghetto policemen intrigues me. But without a photo of the armband in wear, this is only speculation, and it is perhaps more likely that this item was intended for a person serving in some other capacity.

Has anybody seen another one of these ordnungsmann armbands since then?
