I got that photo about 5 years ago, then out of the blue someone started a thread on this woman on axis history a few weeks ago and posted tons of images !

Great pol portrait and what a look too, I like these photos with character & attitude

Interesting fellow. Military age but no combat badges or awards. A long time civil police senior NCO in Italy late in the war. He certainly has the "attitude", but seems to have avoided the fray, at least until this photo was taken. Probably a command staff or admin guy.

The Meister as per post #948 may be from the 3rd Bn of SS Police Rgt Schlanders which was quartered in Feltre (where the photo was taken) in Sept 1944. There were bloody sweeps in that area. A good portrait with nice uniform details, thanx for posting.
