Hard to tell the branch but I believe him a Kommunalpolizist (dated 1935)!

Gerd, looks like you are off to great start in the new year! The Kummunalpolizist and Landjäger out of Meldorf photos are eye-catching...it must be those those contrasting collar tabs and cap bands that make them stand out to me! Anyday now, I should also have some new year acquisitions to add!

Yep, the start was just fine.

Some more new additions will follow within the next few days...

Sometimes it's very hard to tell the branch an officer had. Prussian Kommunalpolizei and Landjäger look very similar on black&white pictures. However, the cross strap is an important difference (as most Prussian Kommunalpolizei ones will show a buckle on the cross strap). Not talking about some identical features Prussian, Baden, Saxony pp. Police forces will show........
