Interesting mounted Policemen!
The Tschako is the normal Wachtmeister style which shows an officer upgrade (silver chain fixed to the Knopf 91). However the shoulder boards are for Wachtmeister.

Well gentlemen, I have been looking thro' all your photographs and as a retired MP and SIB, I find your photos very interesting. I am reading "Hitler's Police Battalions" by Westermann. Although he indicates that the transformation from civil policeman to military type police took place during the thirties, I believe that the study of the photographs indicates that this happened a long time ago. Possibly after the war of 1870. Keep up the good work.
