    RAD White-Top Robin Hood

I had to see it to believe it--apparently, just about every organisation had special uniforms for the 1936 Olympics. Anyone got one?!

Guys, I do not own it--I am merely posting it as a representative example.

see my question with the white cap with the Olympia thread.
With the Robin Hood there is somewhat discoloring, which totally
                lacks with the white visored.

Is the trim on the bill of the cap a rank distinction? I notice the caps in the period photos don't seem to have that feature.

In my opinion the silliest looking hat ever adopted by the Reich......The look is More Pan Am stewardess than paramilitary...

Watched the auction today. The white RAD cap went for 2.600 £ plus fees. So is it worth the price? Is it an original cap? Just wondering because all the other head gear on that auction seemed to be crap.

I would seriously question the authenticity of this cap. Too bad I'm not an expert so I can't add more lol.

No, the hat is a fake, and a fantasy at that.
There were a lot of bad hats in that auction.

What do you mean with fantasy? YOu know white caps were worn as photos do show! Or do I misunderstand?
The white cap and uniform were subject at the RAD-Mustersammlung, a permanent exhibition at the RAD
headquarters in Berlin-Grunewald. I showed a photo in volume 5 for the headgear-series, at page 379. I did
discuss this cap in the book and so frauds saw their chance to produce such a cap. Writing a book is not Always
the best, as often items are reproduced for selling and make money!
