    2 Police Bullion Eagles ...

Just received these from 2 different sources - and they are up for review. The Scan doesn't show how nice and shiney the Bullion Thread really is.

The Left Bullion Police Eagle is on a darker Greenish Wool, and this backing is 2-3 X thicker than the Right Eagle. Has a 2-Part Black Eye.

The Right Bullion Police Eagle is on a lighter shade of Greenish Wool, and has a 'White' or Bullion EYE. It has a Nicer & More Symmetrical Swastica.

      Hello,

Two nice eagles. I would be happy with both of them.

        Nice News.......

Bill, Thanks... That's Nice to Hear.......

We 'Junior' Police Eagle Collector are at the Mercy of the 'Wolves' in assessing these Eagles (great help with your neat Net Primer) but without a dedicated "Book of Police Eagles!"

Plus, they aren't $25-$35 any more! .....Txs, Dave/dblmed

          Dear Dave,

I doubt there ever will be a book dedicated to eagles, particularly these bullion birds. Since they were all "one off" hand embroidered by little old ladies at their kitchen table they are all a little bit different. There is NO "official" pattern. Every producer made up there own tmplates so there is an infinite number of variations.

You are certainly right about prices. I guess these are up around $200+ these days. The Pakistanis are turning these out, as are the Chinese. The Chinese are really pretty good, but so far they just don't have the look.

Collect while there are still a few good eagles out there. There won't be any soon enough. The enlisted eagles are running about 50% repro when I see them. Too bad. A few years ago they were all basically original and selling for ~$35. Now I see fire eagles for $125 for god sake. YIKES!

          Best regards,
          Bill Unland
