I also noticed the buckles look to be a different color, although I'm wondering if it's just lighting, flash, dirt, or a little of all. I'd really like to see a side shot of the "new" shako portion of the of the chin-strap that reflects the damage in the photos I saved. That would probably tell us if there was also some restoration of the chin-strap.
