    Bill,

    An excellent and hard to find tunic!

    I can add to the confusion with my green NCO tunic that has black collar and cuffs that you will probably recall. Mine has the maker markings, size, and date stamps and no depot or property stamps. It is also the field type tunic with a split box tail, bandage pocket, and belt ramps and hooks on the sides. My tunic was made by G. Assmann in Halle and is dated 1942.

    Go figure..

        Hi Colt 45,


        A wartime tunic used postwar by the Bunderswehr fire service. Note the cloth shoulder straps and BW collar tabs!

        The arm patch is not original to the tunic.

        These are easy to convert back to wartime issue by adding the correct xollar tabs, shoulder boards and sleeve eagle.
