Help with photo.

It was suggested that I post this photo on this forum. Is it early Polizei? Any help is appreciated.

It has been suggested by another forum member that this photo may show a member of the Prussian State Police from 1933-34 period. Can anybody confirm this for me.

Hello,

Your photo's subject is wearing the uniform worn by various Landespolizei post 1933. It is impossible for me to tell you which state though as many wore a green uniform including , but not limited to Prussia. The collar tab type and black pants are indeed consistant with Prussian however. The helmet is definitely of a type worn by the Landespolizei in 1933-1934.

It is interesting that the man in the photo is wearing the NSDAP brassard that was not standard dress code for the Schupo or Landespolizei after January 1933. Also of interest is the P08 holster that is not in standard configuration for the Prussian Schupo or LAPO. The shoulder boards are odd too.
