I actually just scored ALL the insignia that I need to fix mine, like the rank collar tab insignia (in my case in beautiful heavy silver Bullion set, not cheap but amazing craftmanship, pics to follow!!These came from Weitze Germany (bless the internet!) along with matching shoulderbaords but unfortunately the cyphers are missing... I need those! In gold...ANybody?
I also have the cuff title coming from a fellow WAF member, so pretty soon I should be able to show my properly finished tunic!

Bill, makes sense your explanation about zoll guys getting drafted and serving and falling for the fatherland in the armed forces.

    Hi Nick,

Glad to hear the project is coming together for you so quickly! Gotta love the Internet.

If you can post the death notice you found I'd be interested to see how educated my guess turns out to be

    Cheers, Bill

Yeah, that's it alright but I don't think I paid that much for the whole tunic.

I've always been happy buying from Helmut Weitze and have bought plenty over the years and never got anything but the best of service even when returning items.

I think I'll have to keep looking to find something a little more bank account friendly to complete my project! I've waited this long, I'll find one I can afford some day.

      Cheers, Bill

          Hello Nick
This is coming togeather nicely. I think your better off going with the standard bevo cuffband. I would think only a higher ranking officers would have bullion band. I also paid less for my tunic and visor than he wants for the cuffband.
A regular open claw belt and buckle should be easy to find. The oval Customs officers buckle was only worn with the brocade belt. Kirby

Thanks Kirby. What's missing is indeed the cuff title, which is already en route to me! With the internet this stuff is just a mouse click away! It's a regular BeVo one. This bullion one is insanely expensive and posted for another contributor to this thread, who was looking for one... I was never considering it (based on the asking price) and I agree for a junior rank beambte a standard BeVo version works fine.
I already have riding breeches and a black double claw belt (its Berlin marked + embossed "DRK" so I guess really Red Cross but that's OK) with a nice small caliber holster (PPK or something) A field cap is also being negotiated! Anyway more updates to follow as more goodies arrive!
            Nick
PS: I'm still in need of Golden "RFV" shoulderboards cyphers for it...Anybody?

              INTERESTING Zoll cuff title application

During my customs Zoll research to restore my uniform I stumbled across these images. Note Zollhelferinnen caps with cut down Zoll cuff titles used as cap insignia!!!
I had posted these pictures in the headgear section and member Schupo (sharp eye!) recognized these as such! Makeshift insignia used for female caps!
Who knew? So those who own partial zoll cuff titles, you actually own female cap insignia! or at least you can claim that now! Nick

Interesting that the last few pics show the visors with a normal WH officers chin chord and not the green/silver braid.

And Nick, great job on restoring the tunic from whatever it was made into
