    Dear Pete,

Dark brown trim AND functional cuffs. VERY nice. You will likely never see another like it. A rare tunic indeed.

    Best regards,
    Bill Unland

Thanks for the reply Peter! Always interesting details to note. Another question: Does yours have supporting belt hooks or provision for them?

Below is the one picture I found of a piece of my example reflecting the functional cuffs and also supporting belt hooks. It is cut identical to the M36, although it appears conforming to the M38 Feldbluse with the aforementioned details.

Dave, No hooks or provisions for them. I took the Tunic this morning to the sewing lady I know. William Unland kindly sold me a correct eagle in great mint shape and she is going to sew it on for me. Also I have the shoulder buttons being put on. I talked to the lady, and she is not sewing through the lining, but doing it correctly. I get it back Saturday Morning. Will post the pictures then. Pete

              Repro

              Peter,

I am astonished to see one of my tunic at your home... Actually I have produced it few month ago , it is made with swiss wool. Now I stamped all I am producing to many people make tricky things with my stuff, I sellall as repro not as original. I fell myself so guilty now!

You can check a big part of what I am producing on this blog pages :

Daviken: Oh no, is this one of those you reproduced? I didn't know you were selling them...how many have been sold? Perhaps an interior photo would have told us otherwise on the initial tunic posted. Guess we were all trying to be optimistic!

Wow, Then I have been fooled, and I asked a couple of other police collectors for opinions before I bought. They both said good. One has an extensive police collection and is/was a member here. I am in a state of disbelief, as I thought I had done my homework. Well it now has authentic eagle and straps on it. My mistake I guess to live with. Pete

                    Hello,

                    Daviken,
I am REALLY disappointed to see this new development. Your tunic certainly fooled me from the posted photo. I thought you were going to stamp your tunics in some indellible way to mark them as reproduction? I know I had suggested inside the pocket on the body where it could not be removed.

Where are you marking them so that we can look for it???

I see you are making SchuPo as well so I guess we need to be on alert when looking at Gendermerie and Schutzpolizei tunics in the future. Are you making any other branches?

If reproductions are made, with whatever intent, they WILL be sold as original.

A side by side with an authentic tunic should demonstrate the color difference, but when buying on the net with only photos to look at making such a judgement is impossible.

                    Peter,
I will gladly take the eagle I sold you back and refund what you paid if you wish. No need to add to your loss. This is really regretable, and discouraging.

                    Regards,
                    Bill Unland

William, Thank you for your kind offer, but i purchased a new unissued eagle from you. I had it sewn on the tunic. It would now be a used or maybe misused eagle. I will not foist my mistakes on someone else. I do appreciate the offer. Pete

Petter I am sure that is mine, it was a prototype made of swiss wool, now I use feldpolizei fabric, look at those pics :

                        My last Gendarmerie tunic :

Dave : I have sold 6 or 7 tunics as reproduction 5 to 6 as Gendarmerie and 1 as Schupo. Generaly the size is 38" or 36" (quite small) becaus eof teh lack of big piece of fabric. The lining material is uncorrect because made with old linng polizeimantel from teh 50's.

Unland:"COPIE" Stamp are made on the back of ich piece of fabric, many are hidden because of lining material but you can see them insde teh pocket.

Unfotunately all the stuff on my blog was sold without marking. Most of the pieces are sold to german people. I have allready sent a message on www.militaria-fundforum.de as a warning to the german collector.

Unland: I make all branches except WSP

                          Dear Daviken,

Thank you for the information about your stamping as "copie".
You are indeed talented. I'm afraid your work will show up for sale all over
soon. As they are so well done it will be easy to pass off as original I'm afraid. Having done a bit of sewing myself I certainly compliment you. Only wish you weren't making TR era police tunics Your imperial tunics are really quite impressive.

                          Peter,

Does your tunic have the stamps inside the pockets?

                          Regards,
                          Bill U

Is it certain that this is the same jacket?

I have looked in all the pockets and find no markings at all. The tunic does appear to be one of his tunics. I have just sent email to person I purchased from. Let me wait and see what he says.
