Werkschutz gorget

My Werkschutz gorget. This gorget of the factory security police is the smallest of the TR gorgets. It is only 4.5 inches wide, and was attached to the uniform between the first and second buttons by a large pin assembly on the back. A tough one to find, and I have not yet seen a photo of one being worn. (They probably felt inadequate with a 4.5 inch gorget, LOL) If anybody has a period photo of a Werkschutz gorget in wear, please show it!

Interesting that the Weitze example is not serial numbered. First one I have seen like that.

norwest--thanks for posting this--this is the first time I have seen one in color. Even the Deeter/Odegard book does not have a picture of it in wear--great item

Actually, I just noticed that my gorget has been previously posted -- before I bought it! Coco posted it here: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ad.php?t=92901

I thought I bought it from somebody in the U.K. (though I might be mistaken), so it may have changed hands a couple of times before it came into mine. Small world.
