    Odd Bugle...Any Ideas?

Hey guys. I just took this bugle in trade, I'm wondering about the eagle...sorry for the fuzzy photo, but I think you get the idea. It is an odd looking eagle holding a hammer and sword. Is it some kind of Labor Group?

I had a buckle with an eagle like it one time that was a "fantasy" item... I just have my guard up on this German stuff! Not my bag.

    Thanks for any info,

      Hj?

One fellow told me it was Hitler Youth, is that right? I've never seen such an HJ or SA emblem.

The Bugle Is Definitely H J. I Had One Like It Many Years Ago. Mine Had A Small Swallow Tail Flag Attached To The Rings And A Twisted Cloth Cord Carrying Strap.

Sorry--but it is not HJ ! The eagle holds a hammer --and that stood for MINERS ! So this was used by a band of the Miners when the Miners took part in a parade , like for MAY DAY ! Regards , Bernd .

Sorry, just found this thread. The bugle is a reproduction HJ piece. It's actually made in India and is a reproduction british pattern horn. These are made with HJ, SA, US cavalry, and British insignias. Definitely not a German pattern!

                      Wow, Thanks!

Thanks for the input... I had my doubts, but others seemed to like it. Sorry for the JUNK offering, please remove.

...about the HJ/DJ flying eagle emblem

                        <center>Hello Skip:
Yes, the flying eagle holding a sword and hammer is a
HJ/DJ emblem and was used on their Bannfahnen (see
below). But as previously noted, the subject bugle looks
to be one of those recent made in India UK Army pattern
examples, which I 've seen quite often at fleamarkets for
around $20 and up. I was at one time going to collect bugles
myself, but decided to just stick with embroidered unit flags.
