Hi,

I thought I would post this set of insignia which are rather rare. Here is an almost complete grouping of Eastern Government Postal Service Insignia.

Good find Gary,

The patch and collar tabs are for a Polish Postman in the service of the Deutsche Dienspost in the General Government of Poland. They were forbidden to wear anthing with a swastika as they were not of German Nationality.

I am not sure about the sleeve eagle, paybe Postschutz or Deutsche Dienstpost. Supervisory personnel in the Deutsch Dienstpost wore field grey uniforms with Postschutz style rank inignia in dark green on field grey.

Nice find! Here is the cuff title that goes with the uniform. Its mounted on the right sleeve of an Eastern territories postal overcoat (with the same sleeve patch), which I own. The coat is manufactured in Cracow, the Postal headquarters of the General Gouvernement. See post 149 and 150 in below thread! Nick

You are welcome. I will see if I can add a picture of my Eastern Territories postal overcoat to the thread (which covers my stuff) and/or to this thread. The coat is in unissued condition and still shows the Cracow tailor tag. Nick
