These two eagles have been photographed in totally different lighting conditions. Quality of the picture (number of pixels and compression rate) differs between the two. It is thus impossible (in my honoust opinion) to judge this eagle by comparing these two photgraphs.
Because of different lighting conditions a body can look fatter, shades fall differently, details tend to be highlighted or blended into the picture.
The details that are pointed out of possibly being suspect are most likely generated by just such lighting condition.

Also the feeling that the eagle sits too low on the sleeve is no argument for suspicion. I have seen period pictures where the eagle was worn at elbow-heigth or even lower.

          Dear Ernst,

          Your observations are quite valid.

          Respectfully,

I think someone needs glasses if they think that the lighting etc blah blah blah is making the eagle look bigger. Anyone with any sence and knowledge of police eagles can automaticilly see that the body is completly out of proportion to the original listed. The fake has problems with the neck and head, the body and also the wings. A completely bogus eagle. For those that that think both eagles are fake here is a picture of this type in wear

Blouse looks good, eagle (??), what I do not like are shoulderboards with SChupo underlay - its the first time I see "Spartefarbige" underlay "mounted" on uniform - example UWM- shoulderboards with dark brown underlay in wear are known from photos, but Spartefarbige underlay?
And, both of these shoulderboards are the right ones. Fotos with shoulderboards mounted in wrong way (reversed) existed, but two "right" shoulderboards on uniform?

                      Gary9,

You are saying that the eagle on the tunic I posted is a complete fake? Some of the text has been deleted from the previous discusion so I'm sort of lost. Please clarify. Thank you.

                      Steve

Steve, The eagle you are asking about is the brighter eagle on the left, correct? Look at the head, it appears pointy. I have not seen a pointy head before.

Here is a close up of the eagle, my problem was with the area of the eagle inside the yellow circle, it looked as though in the original photo that someone has embroidered an extra bit of body, but now I look at the bigger picture I was WRONG and the eagle is after all a good eagle and it is me that needs the glasses and Ernst argument about light etc is exactly right. SORRY Ernst
