I'm venturing out of my normal collecting of Heer tunics, but I have been looking for a nice police combat style tunic. I found this on a dealer web site. Please give your ideas on this kit. All comments welcome.

Hello,
I saw that tunic for sale. I think the tunic is OK. For some reason I don't like the eagle. It seems way too low on the sleeve, and that pattern is NOT one I am very familiar with. I have no particular evidence that it is a reproduction, just doesn't sit right with me. Could be entirely authentic, or eagle added latter, but in my opinion the tunic is OK.

I had the same feeling as Bill. Nice tunic, but I think the eagle is a repro that has been added - unfortunately.

I agree with what Bill and Doug have said. It is hard to know about insignia, ribbons, and badges without holding it in your hand. The tunic does not raise any particular red flags for me, so it is probably a matter of price and if you are happy with it.

The eagle looks decent, and like Hr. Unland metioned perhaps a tab bit low. Lined up around the bottom of the pocket flap is right. If it is in the $600-800 range not a bad deal.Comment

Thank you guys for your comments! The tunic looked good to me but I'm still paranoid about police insignia due to a general lack of knowledge on the subject.

The eagle on this one is bad look at the body on the right hand side seems to be too large, here is the eagle it is supposed to represent, if you look cosely you can see the differences. Bill you got a better picture of this eagle.Comment
