Police Shako insignia

Just picked this one up and wanted to share with you.

Any comments are welcome and any estimation on value?

This example appears to be the police insignia for the cartouche box...is the wing span approximately 10 cm? The three attachment loops appear to be bent over? Are there any maker marks? Should be worth around $50.

You are correct, it is for the cartouche, the shako has the rivets/screws on the reverse.....I simply forgot.

No maker marks that I can see.

Hi William,

The Tshako insignia will have threaded studs/posts and the crash helmet insignia (same size as the cartouche) will have split brads.

Did you pick up any other polizei material with your insignia above?
