    General Fake Or Real ?

    Please help me with this General Adler , is it real or fake ? I think pakista made but i hope in your help. Many thanks Cosimo

      Hello,

      Unfortunately it is a reproduction. The downward sloping wings, open at the top small wreath, and other characteristics point to this.

            Dear Cosimo,

            Yes, these particular reproductions date from the 70's. They are now toned nicely and look old.....because they really are. There were original eagles similar to these, but different in significant details some noted above.

              Bill, Is this one like the WSP example that was for sale at a dealer site on which Joe W. posted the reproducers sales add? I can't find my saved image of it for comparison.
              Interested in the Gendarmerie - Schutzpolizei - Gemeinden - Feuerschutzpolizei - Wasserschutzpolizei - Etc. Looking For Anything Polizei Related!

                Dear Dave,

                Yes same eagle. Two German dealers still have this style eagle for sale for big money. I guess if they leave it up long enough someone will buy it.
