    SA shield

Can anyone tell me what this was used for?

    Hello,
I have a plaque with the exact same shield on it for a safety(?) or endurance test drive for the NSKK group from Niederrhein. I believe the piece you show would be affixed to another piece of the plaque. The item I have has a backpiece with the wording "Motor-Gruppe Niederrhein Zuverlassigkeitsfahrt Roemryke- Berge and the dates 3/22-26 1938. I think that the rest of the plaque is missing from your shield. If i remember correctly Roemryke-Berge is a set of mountains. As far as the what the eagle and green and white stands for I don't know, maybe a local areas colors? Another member more familiar with Germany might be able to help with that. The piece you show,on mine, is 2inches wide by 2 1/4 inches long. Hope this is of some help

Duzig(Bill) sent me this image of his shield and agreed to let me post it for others to see. An interesting piece! Thanks Bill!
