What do people think of this badge - I have seen it but have not bought it.

I have only seen one in Detlevs book and this isn't like it.

I've just realised that it is in the wrong section, if anyone can move it please feel free.

          Hi!
          Very interesting!!

So what can i say.. 1) if it original then anchor must be repaired. 2) anchor's covering coincide with badge's covering.

Maybe someone took original SA badge and attached modern-made anchor - what do you think?

What price asking for this badge??

Look at next picture form Lothar Hartung catalogue. You can find some distinction with Hartung's badge. Especially: anchor was not attach to badge's basis. Anchor and basis as a single whole! not two separate parts.

            Roman,
You show the same one as the DN catalogue - they both have different anchors to the one I have posted.

              Hi John,
to me this badge looks as though it has been made to deceive (JMO)

The anchor should not be a seperately applied peice.

Thanks guys. I have looked at the picture in the Lothar Hartung catalogue, Detlev's price guide and also Angolia's Fuehrer & Fatherland Civil/Political Awards - none of the pics in these references match the piece posted - it is - as Ashley says - a £55.00 piece designed to fool .
