    LuftSchutz NSDAP Armband Question?

    Hello,

I picked up this Luftschutz NSDAP armband some time ago. It has a stamp on it that I have never seen before. It is the one on the Left with the eight pointed star. Does anyone know what this means? Was it for a specific city or district??

    Thanks,
    Cam

        Hi Cam,

The 8 pointed star was the emblem of the Luftschutz.

        Kind regards,
        Andy

Here's an example of the emblem.
This is an air raid warden plaque.

          Kind regards,
          Andy

            Thanks

            Hello Andy,

Thanks for the help. Political Organizations are not really my interest. Just picked this up because it looked interesting.

            Thanks again,
            Cam

                Hello Cam_S,

I havn't seen this exact armband, but it is plausable. I't done in the same style as an SHD armband, which is an organization closely related to the RLB.

                  Hello Johann,

                  A very nice SHD armband!

I have one that has been folded and was once stitched to a great coat,as a sort of cuffband/title.

                  Here is a pic.

                  Kind regards,
                  Andy

Thanks Andy. I like your woven cuffband too. If fact I like them woven MUCH better than printed...

Hi, and if I may intrude. I have an armband very similar to 1st one. I put it on forum a couple months ago, and got mixed answer. One person said fantasy piece, 1 said 1005 original exactly like his. Since this thread is so close, Id like to try again. This is just slightly different than 1st one. Opinions please.

                          Luftschutz NSDAP Armband w/RZM tag.

Here's another Luftschutz NSDAP armband, it does not have any ink stamps. Does have a RZM tag to the inside. First time I have ever seen an RZM tag on this style armband.

                          Cheers,
                          Howard

RZM tag to inside. Armband does have a faint ink stamp near inside seam.

                              Another style font

                              Here's another.

This one is a deep forest green. Has one RLB ink stamp for a town or region.

The letters are all different on all the armbands listed in this thread.

If these were standardize by RZM, I would have thought the colors and fonts would be the same, or at least a very near match.

Was this a branch of the NAZI party or of the RLB / Luftschutz?

Lots of questions........Anyone have any answers?

                              Cheers,
                              Howard
