Did All Luftschutz Helmets Have This?

Did all the Luftschutz helmets have the sticker on the inside at the rear? I have seen many pictures with them and very few without. My recent helmet purchase seems to be all original, but does not have that sticker.

    Thanks in advance.

I have 1 with, and 1 without. Whether it was there at 1 time, I dont know. It does not look like it pulled any paint off if it was there and got pulled off. So I am interested in other peoples answers. I think that just like they stopped decals on helmets later in war, they probably stopped the stickers also. They reused captured helmets for Luftschutz, to save money, why not stop stickers?

I have one with the information painted (sorta like an ink stamp) on the skirt.

      I wouldn't worry if a helmet didn't have it.

I have been collecting TR civil helmets for several years, and have handled several LS helmets. With regards to the "gladiator-style" LS-service/issue helmets, not all of these helmets received the pricing/size decals in the rear neck guard, and some never received the LS decal itself.
I have observed the price/size data also is presented in different formats in the neckguard when present. Some helmets have all the data contained on one large decal, others have multi-piece decals composing the same data, there are condensed versions (smaller single line decals), printed (typically white indelable ink), and the aluminum shells produced by Westfalische Aluminum Industrie have the wording embossed directly into the metal.

I think Peter made a good point to which I agree, in that probably due to war-time economic measures/strain, decal applications for these helmets were greatly reduced. The later war M44 "gladiator-style" helmets (non-beaded) are very rare to find with any decal applications specifically for LS service.

        Hope this helps,
        Don

I will post some pictures on Sunday. I was concerned as I bought three helmets (LS, Police and DD Heer), some cloth items, and an SS membership pin for $400. I cannot imagine this LS helmet was redone. The liner is fine leather, like paper, and I am afraid to mess with it.
