Generalstab der Schutzpolizei Collar Tabs

I have never heard of such a thing - have any of the Polizei collectors come across something like this?

They do exist and I've only seen a couple other sets of collar tabs for Offiziere und Beamte bei Zentralbehörden. Illustrations appear in various references (SHAEF, Deuster, etc.). It was also noted that the officers could belong to the Schupo, Gend. and Verwaltungs and the color would be reflective of the branch.

The tabs were worn my officials attached to the Hauptamt Ordnungspolizei in Berlin. The style of embroidery was if I remember correctly Kornblumenstickerei.
I had a single tab at one time. Here is a photo of the tabs being worn by Maj.d. Schutzpolizei Willi Blocher from an album detailing his service trips to the Netherlands and Paris with Generals Daluege and von Bomhard during which time he was of course attached to HAOP (Hauptamt Orpo).

I wish they would simplify the image attachment method and the editing function. I am so frustrated. Screw it. I tried to post a nice photo of the collar tab from one of my albums, but the preview image shown is smaller than the actual size when posted. Trying to correct the size just adds another image to the post. There is no logic in the action. Moderator, please delete these posts of mine.

Don, normally I would, but........I got stuck into paying for two years because the darned payment system on the old format was screwed up and didn't register a payment. But now anyone can post without paying......if you can figure it out. I have been a member almost as long as you have and I am not computer illiterate, but the new image posting system is not working correctly or we have not been given instructions. But I digress......

Via the camera icon in the upper left, once you click, and 'upload button appears below the 'Upload Attachments' button. Confusing, think it could have been simpler, also edit seems to have it's glitches...

The camera button is an unnecessary duplication of the "upload" at the bottom of the page. It works without the camera button,but as I wrote,the size of the selected image in preview is different from actual posting and when you try to correct, the images can duplicate ad nauseum.Yes the procedure is a real PITA. Oh, and now I have discovered if you click on the camera or upload attachments and then decide not to add an image, the system will not allow you to post your written info. You must cancel the post and start over.

I also had that experience.
