Be on the look out for!

Bob Coleman had this NPEA tunic stolen out of a box a member sent him, while it was in UPS transit. Please keep your eye open for this tunic and let Bob or I know if it turns up anywhere.

    Thanks

        look out for!

The tunic is dark brown (almost looks a little green) with a SS sleeve eagle on the arm. The collar is black. There are no markings on the interior.
This tunic is for a NPEA student.

Sorry to hear it. I had a package stolen from my doorstep, 2 months ago, that was just left by DHL. Complete uniform.

Will do, this is terrible, but sadly not that uncommon. I do hope that it was insured.
Interested in candid/private Hitler, KIA, and Holocaust photos. Also any AH related memorabilia--silverware, linen, crystal, china...
            All the best,

                  Ups

I have had trouble with UPS also. Last week the driver stuck a package with almost $5000.00 worth of documents between my front door. He never even rag the bell. I heard the truck pulling away from the house. It should have been signed for. When I called UPS they said I had signed a waiver for the drivers to leave packages. I don't ever remember doing this.
They have also left larger packages on my back porch. They tell me no one was home when they delivered them. I work nights and am home all day.
UPS needs to be more responsible.
I never ship with them, I use the USPS or Fed Ex, and have never had a problem with either.
I hope you are able to recover the tunic.
                  Keith

Waiting to hear more, this is good news, I never thought that it would be seen again .

Here in the UK we seem to have better luck with UPS except for the fact that they charge heavy on the import duty.

                      Cheers
                      Don

Thanks to all for your concerns. Thanks to the quick action of afew who got the photos out, the tunic, which is quite rare and unique, was found by someone who knows me. He informed the person who had it and took possesion for me. Evidently, he had purchased from an unkown source. I have been asked to keep all names out of this as the piece has returned to the nest.

On another point with regards to this piece, check out the unusual arm eagle. If this piece was spotted in a case of loose insignia, it would be immediately labeled a fake SS eagle. It shows once again that much unusual original material is still to be encountered.

Glad the piece is back in the fold, a miracle for sure. I figured it would have wound up in a pawn or antique shop, mislabeled of course. Thankfully it really is a small world.

I've had different problems with all carriers, theft, severe damage and a month long loss to name a few. I/m thankful that the worst experience I've had was the loss of a Luftschutz belt buckle I was sending overseas for a friend. Item was sent USPS Registered Mail. After a 6 month investigation by the ever vigilant US Postal authorities, I got back the maximum allowable amount on a registered item, $40.45 plus about $8 in postage. Despite all the horror stories of mail outside the US, turns out the piece never left the building I mailed it at. Well, it never left legitimately. So much for having to sign for stuff.

Just wanted to update this, as I own the tunic and have a prospective buyer for it. He is interested to know if the eagle on it is original. Here is a photo. The tunic is 100% original and the eagle is properly zig-zag stitched to it. There are no signs of any other eagle. BUT, the question of the hour is, is the eagle original? Is it a known fake? Help much appreciated.
