Does anybody know what SA unit wore this number on their collar: 42/234?

It's for Standarte 234 Eschwege. The main HQ of the Standarte was located there at niederhonerstraße 20. It was under Brigade 47, Group Hessen.

Erich, can it be that you made a little type error and that the street name is: niederhornerstraße ? In one of the coming weekends I am going to the Hessen area. Maybe I can visit the street and make a picture of the building.

I'm sure it is--my reference reads Niederhonerstr. but Niederhorner is most likely correct. Be sure to post some photos if the building is still there!

Hi Gentlemen,

It depends on wich pattern collar tab you have Volkbert!

If it's pre-war you should take a picture of the building that belongs to Am Bahnhof 11 where this Standarte had their seat at that time.

This would have been one of the many changes, causes the war.

Btw Erich, my references couples St.234 to Br.46.. Agree?

Mine shows Br. 47--it's possible that they were earlier under 46.

The only reference stating Standarte 234 was part of Br.47 are the SHEAFF files.
