Unidentified tabs, etc. - what are they?

Well, the VDM looks like a company fireman, werkfeurwehr. The middle doesn't look German to me. The green with gold looks like some sort of forestry or hunting tab.

Allow me to add that the company in question are the Vereinigte Deutsche Metallwerke AG [Amalgamated German Metal Works Inc.], founded in 1930.

Definitely not; it has no resemblance to any of the foreign workers' patches.

I think it's a British military formation insignia. It's very similiar to this one...:

...except that the triangle is pointing downwards rather than upwards (or, alternatively, that the black and red are reversed if you turn it around). This isn't my area of expertise, though.
