What is this insignia on RAD uniform?

At the far left in the photo -- what is that triangle insignia on the RAD man?

A Tresse triangle was the sleeve rating badge for a Truppführer, but there are three problems here: These sleeve rating badges were to be worn a) only on the work uniform, b) on the left sleeve and c) pointing downwards.

So, either he is wearing said badge in a way that totally contradicts regulations, or it is something entirely different and undocumented (or at least unknown to me). Come to think of it, it also looks different to the Truppführer triangle in that the transverse bar appears to be thicker and that triangle isn't pointy in all three corners.

By the way, also note the army man (third from left in the second row): He's not wearing shoulder boards and a sidecap and tunic that appear to be of foreign origin.
