    HJ capin tan

    Hi to all,

posted below are a couple of shots of my H.J cap. This is the only one i have seen in this colour as apposed to the normal blue one found.
This cap is small as my 6 year old daughter has problems getting it on her head All comments welcome

are you sure its a HJ cap and not a post war civilian cap with a HJ badge added as it looks like that to me

          HJ Hat

Could be postwar civilian hat, but I'm not so quick to pass doubt. The eyelet adjustment and style of buckle seem identical to an HJ winter blue hat that I recently parted with. Unless you have made an investment and need to cash out before an inspection period ends, I would hang on to it simply out of speculation.

The extreme small size could suggests some sort of period playwear or Kinder clothing that was popular at the time. Angolia's HJ Vol.2 covers the "Kiel Dress" sailor suits worn by childrem of the period. Aditionally, their were child's play versions of many of the period uniforms.

Of course as has been mentioned, it may simply be a doctored up hat with an HJ insignia.

          Interesting

            Hi Paul and Wesley`s dad,

thank you both for your comments, i have owned this cap for approx 20 years. I have also owned the blue versionin the past (this actual cap is pictured on page 297 of the afore mentioned publication) the one thing i liked about tis cap was the sewn on insignia as opposed to the more encountered pinned on version which i have found more frequently in the past.
            but this is (JMO)
Any way for now we`ll wait for more comments.

I concur that this is likely a civilian hat that some one has added the HJ diamond to. Period HJ hats of this style would have a RZM tag, which I find lacking in this example. Finally, I do not know of any winter weight HJ uniform in tan.
