RAD flags and pennants

I started a thread on these in the flag forum a a year or so ago,now that we have a forum for the RAD i thought i would start one here.I have been able to add 2 more to my RAD collection this month i will post them later, the first one im posting is still my favorite. This unit numbered pennant is from a arbeitsgau 22 (Hessen Nord) abteilung (224/2).it is constructed from 3 seperate pieces,2 double sided printed pieces and an all white piece in between the 2 printed pieces.there is a strip of cloth that is sewn in on the end of the 3 pieces that holds the rope ment for attaching this pennant to a pole, the rope has 2 metal clips for attachment.the unit numbers are seperate pieces of cloth, not printed on the flag, they are very nicely stitched.I have not seen another unit numbered pennant for sale in the last 7 years.I se alot more RADwJ flags and pennants for sale and for higher prices even though less people collect RADwJ than collect RAD.I saw a bunch of RADwJ flags for sale at the last MAX show but only RAD standards for sale,no pennants or flags.the RADwJ flags tend to sell for more i think because they have a swastika on them,i cant think of any other reason why.does anyone else have any RAD flags, pennants or standards?

the seller of this flag thought this stamp was a unit stamp,it is the date -Nov 1938 and the RAD distribution depot stamp.

Here is a photo of an odd pre-WW2 Nazi flag with a RAD like shovel head on it, made by Bonnerfahnenfabrik of Bonn. Any idea what this flag was for?
thanks for posting pictures of the standard,i would love to see some close up pictures of the standard as well as some pictures of the streamers.

i have never seen a flag like that before, its very interesting, that pattern spade is from the F.A.D,i checked alot of my referance material and havent seen anything close to that design,i will keep looking.since you are a flag collector i have a question for you,why do you think in the last few years there are such a large number of RAD standards for sale?i beleive i saw 6 for sale at the last MAX show, there were more standards than flags or pennants!

                          Standarte

Here is the link to last years post.

                          http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ad.php?t=48686

Can't explain why so many would show at once. When it rains it pours, you may not see them again for several years. My search for a common infantry officers schirmmutze took several months, now they 're not so ellusive once again. When you want something you can never seem to find it.

Sorry about the cliche ridden comments, just in a rush....

I have never attended a MAX, but I do spend most of my time online. From same I would just say that there is now more collecting interest in all kinds of Third Reich militaria, not just in mostly combat related items as in the past, such that the price of the nicely embroidered RAD standards (years ago $500) is much higher these days thus more are offered up for sale. I've always liked the design and quality of RAD standards, but as an old time combat arms related flag collector (worldwide forces & periods) I've also never acquired one for my own collection, and especially now that I'm mostly into just flag pole tops.

OldFlagsWanted

the newest addition to my RAD collection, another camp flag, this one is a little different than the one i posted previosly.this one is made of cotton, the RAD symbol is printed, the flag is double sided,no makers marks or RAD distribution center stamps, the 2 metal clips for attaching the flag to a pole are identical, the corners are reinforced the same way as my other camp flag.
