Dave is correct. A Werkschutz Gorget for the factory protection police-fire units. All of them that I have seen have been exactly like this, made by Aurich of Dresden with a serial number. Incidentally, the Kustenpolizei Gorgets were made with a pin in this same manner, only larger in size. They never had neck chains and I have never seen a photo of these Werkschutz Gorgets in wear.Comment
