Well, according to law, there are NO copyrights for WWII pictures. It is according to the post war agreement between tha Allies and Axis. So it is nothing illegal.

The other story is if a collector wants to have original. Well in that case he needs to pay of course.

Law does not cover everything. Where there is a conflict of interest, there will be arguments. Tomasz is right about copyright not being involved, but then again, I will never offer you my scans who explicitly says he is free to do anything to do with such scans because there is no copyright.

Copyright is not everything. Ian, I remember your "free the color photos" movement. When you have a lot of real thing, you have understood that there are many views on one thing.

Be calm, it's not necessary to be harsh about this.
