    SS Officer, ID Possible?

This large photo was found amongst a good grouping of a 53rd Welsh vet this afternoon and was wondering if anyone might recognise him

I can only tell you that he is an SNCO, not an officer.

The person in civilian attire being greeted by this NCO is Martin Mutschmann, Gauleiter and Reichstattshalter of Sachsen and close personal associate of Hitler.

        You mean Reichsstatthalter.

SS NCO has the Old Fighter Chevron and appears to have dark/non-infantry color piping on his visor.

As they are stood next to a bridge or the remains there-of it would be easy to speculate he's a Pioniere.
