Spot on! In addition to holding the rank of an SS General, Dr. Lammers was State Secretary and Chief of the Reichschancellery, and Reichsminister without Portfolio. A fine candid photo.

This particular photograph was taken at Himmler's Feldkommandostelle 'Hochwald' in East Prussia on 7 July 1942. What is interesting about this visit is that Lammers' white summer tunic still displays the pre-1942 collar patch insignia of SS-Obergruppenführer.
