Rank Identification

Hello,

I would like to know if anyone can help me to Identify the rank of the officer in this photo, I know that the photo doesnt help but maybe the visor cap give any idea, maybe a superior officer?? the photo have some write in back but I cant read this.

Assuming that is a rank pip on his shoulder board and not a cipher or number he would be an Oberstleutnant (Lt. Colonel).

I think the hand writing says Unser 'Mueller' xxx Regiments Kommandeur. Cheers, Torsten. (ebay id german.militaria).

if he is a Regiment Kommandeur, which could be his rank?
