The Germans liked using captured Russian automatic rifles obviously for the increased fire power they offered.....However they tended to be finicky in cycling during cold weather.....The Germans than reverting back to their trustworthy K98k's....The Russians meanwhile remedied this problem by diluting their gun oil with gasoline...Bodes

One big great advantage with Nagant : as revolver simple no jamming and no empty shells flying into face of shooter like in Parabellum.
Why reverting back to standard Mauser if you know how to deal with automatic rifle.
They use their own G-41 in winter conditions and with good manuals everything worked.

A worthy link:
https://honortheveterans.com/weapons...hotos-russian/ - nice break down of pics by country.
Definitely one of the weapons used across a variety of formations. I've noted pics of Heer, SS, Police, Gj's with them. Not sure if I've run across Luftwaffe troops, though it stands to reason.
