    Michael Wittmann signature?

Here is an interesting one. Wittmann's spell at Junckerschule and locality coincides with his application for a subscription to a wartime Panzer publication. His father's address is given and the timeline is correct vis a vis his geographical whereabouts at the time.I have no dog in this hunt just curious gents.

    All comments appreciated

For me, all the signatures ring alarm bells.

            Curious indeed

I just wonder the lengths people go to really, same auction has some rare names in there.

              The ink looks highly suspect.

I agree, all signatures look like a mess.
Most likely the blank document is real and was pimped up for $$$$

Kyle - I don't like this signature at all.

I have about 10 (?) original Wittmann signatures in my collection directly from the estate, incl. handwritten letters and Michel's personal notebook/diary.

                  Non look like this one.

                  Cheers from Chicago!

                  Markus.

                    Thanks all !!

Thanks gents I had no intention on bidding whatsoever but I know the controversy around Wittmann's signature fosters positive debate and reduces the chances of collectors being duped. Thanks for all your input gents I appreciate it.

                    Thanks Kyle

Did the family even live there? I thought Michael was from a farm?

Yes, agrarian family roots and birthplace in Vogelthal i.d.Opf . His father did begin work in Ingolstadt in 1932 and the Wittmann's were somewhat plagued by moves and financial difficulties as were most during this time. The family was a bit broken up as a result of needing to generate income. His brother Johann was a baker in Ingolstadt. This document appears to be dated 1942. The images save one are ridiculously small. As the OP stated coinciding with M.Wittmann's attendance at Junkerschule.
