Postcard? Post War?

I picked this up from our good friends at ebay. It only cost me a few bucks so if it turns out to be a "stinker" I'm not going to cry.

When I bid on it I thought it a postcard but when it arrived it is actually rather large.

18.5cm (7-1/4") x 13.5cm (5-1/4")

Any thoughts, suggestions, comments?

- I should add that the obverse is blank. I also blacklight it and it did not glow. - oh, and it smells "old"

I have a couple of lufty cards with the same type of lettering at the bottom, I belive these were wartime reprints. Mine dont glow either
