It is a "real photo" (Echtfoto) postcard. The quality is just as a real portrait but it was produced in a bigger number (period). But nevertheless, this does not mean that one find them everywhere today.

no, of course not. I have several of these photos in my collection. I think they were sold to the soldiers as a remeberance to their commanders.
