Besides other red flags, I don't like the Hugo Kempchen signature.

As a single document without any supporting evidence I would not recommend acquiring it.

I think same as naxos ... and, taking aside the signature itself, this kind of field-customized documents are a mine field.

real tank destruction documents are very hard to find. IMHO, there is easier to find a good fake (I'm not meaning this one) that an original.

Hi there ! As a long-range tank destruction grouping and 4.Pz.Div. Grouping collector, I am particularly at ease to confirm both opinions expressed by both members and friends Naxos and Pep.
Kempchen signature are among the rarer of the 4.Pz.Div. Oberst K. replaced WIA Oberst Hoffmann from 4.1.44 until 9.2.44
Thereafter please find the example, which was to find in the internet, the faker probably used to give free rein to his imagination.
Naxos and Pep both said what was necessary about the signature, and also this kind of customized award document.

But I also draw your attention on the stamp used. Of course, the FpNr. is not readable... of course .... But there is another point : Kempchen was Rgt-Kdeur and used the same stamp as Hoffmann. As Hoffmann came back, he further used the same stamp...This stamp was the same until at least 30.5.1944 and is in his way somebit special. I don't want to publicly give the solution - I can do it via PM to Friends I know - but at the regimental level, S.R./P.G.R.12 NEVER used the Fieldpostnummer stamp for awards docs. That was different at bataillon level.... And if you ask me if it was the same by Rgt.33, I will answer you : for a good part of the Year 1943, Oberst Gaudecker used ONLY the Fp.Nrr. Stamp.

A touched tought for all fakers, confirmed or still in training : that's for sure a painful job.
