    Can someone put a name on this Ritterkreuzträger Portrait?

    Don't know where it is yet... but don't love the paper... Can we have a look on the back ?

      Hi Lionel,

      There is nothing wrong with the paper, the only thing is that the picture has yellowed a lot because of the age. We all know the articifical made pictures or the "Russian" archive pictures, this is not one of them.

      The picture was a dedication picture to a fellow soldier when he was in the field hospital. First name is Otto, so that can help a bit in my search.

        OK BRecht, all is fine. The fading/aging seems suspect at first glance, but the back is perfect.

          Hi Lionel,

          No problem at all . One has to be cautious, especially with these type of pictures.
          I made another scan at higher res which also looks better.

            On Axis Biographical Research website he is identified as Otto Rodewald.
