Panzerjäger abteilung 299 StuG document group

a friend offerd to me this grouping from a Pz-Jg abteilung Sturmgeschütz equipped. If I'm not wrong, first company was for flak and second for StuG. he was on duty in both companies. any other further info is welcome.

what does it means "mot.Z" stated on GAB document?
which would be an honest price for this group?

mot.Z is a vehicle towed unit.

Given the award dates and the companies involved, he served on towed anti-tank guns.

          Hello pep !

In addition to what has been said :
IMO, you can't say, that usually the 1. Kp. of a Pz.Jg.Abt. is Flak and the 2. Kp. StuG.

I think that more commonly, if there was a Flak company in a Pz.Jg.Abt., it was often the last in numbering (so often 3. or 4.).
          (but there maybe exceptions)

If a company of a PzJg. Abt. was equipped with StuG, it usually received a special number like 1299.
But there maybe exceptions as well ...

          Interesting group nevertheless !

          Best regards,

          Archi

            thank you so much everybody!

so, we can't be sure if StuGs were issued to this abteilung. mainly, appears to be marders or something like that.

Marders are "Sfl" - Selbstfahrlafette. Pak Sfl. on such a chart.

Towed Pak's are such as 5cm Pak 38, 7,5cm Pak 40, towed by something.

thanks akira ... so, I got wrong info. no evidences of stug are available. these are documents from towed PAKs unit.

The Abteilung would certainly receive StuGs.

But I can't say if your man did fight on StuG or not.

Let's be clear here, the unit is reported to have had a unit of stug added to it in mid-44 and a few weeks later the division was destroyed as part of H.G. Mitte. The new 299 ID raised later looks to have included stugs but it seems this soldier had been sent to another division and was clearly still part of a towed company.

irrespective, it's still a nice group.

                        thanks simon. everything clear.
so, value of it goes down. I guess about 200 euros?

That sounds a little on the low side, it's still an EK1 group to a private soldier which aren't that common. He must have done something pretty special for that.
