    same PAB awarded twice????

never saw this before. panzerkampfabzeichen in bronze awarded to the same soldier but different units. was it that possible? documents appear to be originals ...

    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru....php?t=1004841

signature on 1942 issued document appears to be by general gustav fehn and signature on 1944 issued document appears to be by major Hans-Georg Herzog

    placing pics for future reviews.

Here a Soldbuch with 2 Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz. Both underneath each other. Makes you wonder why they would bother writing it in the Soldbuch?

I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.

yes, but yours is for the same wound in december 1st 1943. different documents for same. seems late one is a "zweischirft".

the ones I posted, are different dates of issue in different units .... I believe they are originals but don't understand the reason of these 2 documents.

For the silver wound badge, should he be wounded a third time.

I’d guess this is purely a clerical issue. He somehow made it on the Vorschlagsliste for a PAB with his new unit and was issued a corresponding award document. I don’t think it’s anything more than that.

                twice

A friend was issued a second PAB in bronze doc according to him because he had to have it on hand to be able to receive the PAB in bronze with "25". He still had the second issue doc but not the first one. I think both docs actually had the same 1944 date. "Zweitschrift happens".

That could be a good reason. They did not use his Lazarett page for both wounds. I have a copy of his archive file and he was wounded on 27 July 1942 and 10 March 1943. A third time in 1945, but that was noted on the Lazarett page.
