As you say portraits are very difficult to colorize because of the face.
If I can give you an advice Matteus, you have to use more than one color in the face in order to achieve a more realistic looking. I have spend a few minutes on the las portrait you posted and you can see that using a color for the face and a different one for nose, chin and ears improve the colorized picture.
