        Thanks guys, the grungy POW (Last one) worked quite well. Sometimes you just look at a B/W image and know it's going to "work", this was one of them. it helped because it was a clear image to start of with.

        I do quite a bit of initial research on uniforms and insignia for the period the photo was taken so hopefully they're as acurate as I can get them. Even so there are experts out there who may point a few inacuracies, which I welcome so that I can correct.

                Here is my first attempt at this:



                some of the colours are very tricky to get using the colour balance sliders.

                Having done one now I can appreciate more the work that went into some of the earlier ones posted on this thread.

                    I'm new to colourising photos...I tried one of von der Haydte...I'm not sure about his hair an eye colour. At least I tried.
