I agree, It's a very good first-up colorization. One suggestion would be to turn down the color saturation a little bit.

          Cheers,

Thank you all. You're doing a very good job too and i have to practice a little bit to be your equal. A second one, made very quickly (i think i could do much better, especially trees).

                Regards.

                Vincent

Great colourization! This picture is particularly interesting.

The Iron Cross is Imperial, and the Sudetenland medal is mounted backwards...

This veteran is too young to be WWI vet... And no Hindy Cross suggests he wasn't a combatant or non-combatant in WWI at all...

Nice to see another unusual period picture

Hi Alan, correct! An interesting portrait for sure. It was discussed briefly in the New Photo Pickups thread recently, just before I had colorized it, If you are interested in reading some possible theories. Thanks for commenting!

Vincent, nice work. Keep it up! And yup, you're right....just turn down the opacity on the trees and it should look a bit better.

                                Thanks Kevin.

The photo is from a late-war album which belonged to RKT Klaus Düwell and shows scenes, personnel and locations in northern Italy up to March 1945.
