Excellent, Torpedomaat! Looks like a photo taken yesterday What a coincedance, they are posting right outside to an Agfa-photoshop. Looks like this photo was taken in Holland.

Thank you so much, Maikäfer. You're right, it was taken in Netherland.

          Akira,

Thanks for the good advice. Have played around with the to color to make it a bit more realistic. The photo could have been taken early morning as the sun was coming up which would make it quite bright.

            Gents,
Does anyone have a step-by-step guide on how to do this? I would love to colorize my grandfather's pics!

Though I cannot explain my process (method?) in English, I colorize the picture with a sense of the watercolour painting rather than the coloring.

              Regards,
              Haruki

                    Hello,

Here's a nice little site with some examples of vehicle colours for those who want to colorize vehicles in photos. http://aura.olomouc.com/CCWH_en.htm

Hey flak, this is my first attempt and I'm not near finished yet, but "attached" to the photos are my RGBs to save you some time. I have been sitting here with my Wehrmacht Leutnant's uniform in front of me as a guide so I can guarantee the colours are about dead to rights. Its that damned officer's collar though that's getting me...I can't get it darker green without messing with the contrast.

With regards to a guide to doing this yourself...If you look at page 2 of this thread, atomicmisfit has very kindly put a guide out for paint shop pro. I have had to modify this slightly for myself, as I have an earlier version of psp but it does nicely.
