II./KG 4 Wever / 1940-1941 / unknown Hptm., maybe Knauth?

Hi,

a friend gave me 2 photos of a KG4 pilot. It is fairly certain that this is the second group of the KG 4 and the pictures were taken during the western campaign, 1940-1941.
I think this is Hauptmann Ulrich Knauth. But I lack the opportunity to make a secure comparison.
Can someone help me to identify the officer?

i dont think it is hauptmann knauth. note the ear
