As I was looking at some stuff, I came accross of one intereting group which (I think) is not something you see everyday.
I will post some pics I have done before putting the group back to his box - the more info, observation are welcome

Austrian Glider licence - first time I see one

mentioning his ability to make blind and night flights (instruments), that he was able to flyo Arado 96, on FW 190 and on Bf 109

He was, during most of the war, affected to FFS A/B 14 as shown on the differnt stamps on the papers and on the emblems on the pics

Strange glider
Was that a glider to practise or what?

The group came with 3 original loogbooks (with more than 3000 flyes) which clearly show him has the pilot while the crew list is always changing
That added to the fact that he spent all the war in a flying school drive me to conclude he was an instructor

He was not a military glider (with the para etc ...............) but was, IMO, qualifyed to, more as a sport (see the pic above the military licence).
Like mentioned in the title, he was (I think) a pilot instructor, something you don't see everyday.

Nice group !!

The pouch is quite rare,used by fighterpilots ..
Inside there were some maps,compass,pens,pencils,eraser,Dreieckrechner,tr iangular rulers ,etc..
