questions about some new SS photos

I don't know squat, yet, about the markings and so forth of the SS. The question I have is what do the number on the collar tab stand for, and the number on the shoulder straps.. Any help would be appreciated.... Mike

A look at the fender on this vehicle behind them is interesting as it looks like a tactical symbol has been painted over...

hi mike, he is from no. 2, germania. i think the number on his shoulder is 6, if so its 6 standarte based in berlin. rank looks like a sturmann ,approx equivelent to corporal. cant make out cuff with my bad eyes maybe germania too, looks like it end in an a. his rank is sturbannfuhrer. The top one is SS-VT Germania Rgt. Nothing to do with '6' or Berlin though.........the thing on his shoulder is a gothic 'G' for Germania.
